Today is Anzac Day. Kind of a combination of Memorial Day and Veterans Day, but taken with a great deal more remembrance and association with national identity for Australians and New Zealanders. Had to work today, so I could not attend the memorial events, which apparently begins at 4:30 am with the Dawn Service remembering the soldiers who made sacrifices in the Gallipoli campaign in the name of their young country.
